3 Description
The SimpleLink™ CC2340R2 device is a 2.4 GHz wireless microcontroller (MCU) targeting Bluetooth® 5 Low
Energy and Zigbee®. The device is optimized for low-power wireless communication as an entry-level SoC
(system-on-chip) to enable a broad range of end products in categories such as medical, building automation,
beacons, asset tracking, disposables, smart grid and personal electronics. Additionally, the CC2340R2 device
can function as an attached Bluetooth Low Energy network processor (or “data pump”) adding full Bluetooth Low
Energy capability to the main MCU via a serial interface. Highlighted features of this device include:
